Tracking says it's showing up tomorrow. Which lens take the first photos? I have no limiteds or stars. These are the options:

DA 35 2.4
DA 50 1.8
M 50 f4 Macro
A 100 f4 Macro
18-135 WR
DAL 55-300

I'm leaning towards the A 100 Macro or DA 50

I've got the same dilemma (mine is arriving tomorrow as well), although the lens choice is made easier with the arrival of an FA31 at the same time

I'd go with the DA35 personally (at f8 or so). You don't want bokeh on the first outing, you want to see the detail it's capturing. (I've played with a friends k-3, the detail is mind boggling compared to my k-5)

Honestly, I find them all really sharp except for the 18-135. That's the only lens I have that has been underwhelming to me. Unfortunately my only WR lens too. Also the one I paid the most for.

DA 50 1.8, the first lens on every camera should be a fifty, because that's the way it was.

That's probably why the 35 is winning, because it's a 52.5mm

Ya but I've never really like 35 mm on either format.... it's just got funky bokeh or something.

I'd opt for the 50/4 macro, it should be the sharpest lens on your arsenal....

I got the pentax 55-300 and i think its awesome, it my first lens though besides the one that followed with my camera. I was happy with this cause i could add the raynox macro lens on top out of the box, and the only problem now is holding the camera still and getting all the picture in focus, but i think that requires stacking of multiple photos. Which i have not looked into yet. Anyway, just my experience as a noob.

That's the only lens I have that has been underwhelming to me. Unfortunately my only WR lens too. Also the one I paid the most for.
