I was just wondering about this. I bet it would work very well. Please let us know what you find out.

Willdo... am wondering if I can make it cope with sequenced flash shots. Hmmmm.

Because of the multiple exposures flash is not supposed to work with pixel shift. Of course, some flash units do incorporate the ability to fire several times for one exposure. The prospect of syncing all of that makes my head ache but maybe you have the know how. Hope so!

I'll have a go - I do have a good flash unit (metz 58-ii) that has all sorts of bells and whistles that I havn't used yet but it sounds to me like flash is off the agenda. That said I can use it with continuous lighting, so that should give me an avenue to use this with!

Yes, I am sure that continuous lighting would work just fine. It should also insure that the lighting is consistent through the shots.

Think about pixel-shift on a 36mp FF Pentax. Why would they put this technology on APS-C and not put it on a new flagship FF?

Yeah, wouldn't make any sense at all

Sharpness? With a K-3, just use a tripod, a sharp lens like the 35mm f/2.8 Macro Limited, and further increase sharpness if needed in post.

I'm gonna wait for the FF, which I assume will have the same pixel-shifting technology now that it's been released, and I hope and hope it will include a built-in flash (not used that much, but great for fill-flash and impromptu party shots). I can do without the GPS, as I have the auxiliary GPS device which works just fine with the K-3. If the new FF will have both GPS and on-board flash, that would be ideal. As a suggestion, why not put the GPS into the new battery grip? THAT would be outside-the-box THINKING! Are you are listening, Ricoh-Pentax??? Hint! Hint!

I can do without OBF since they have the AF201G, a small external flash. When I want GPS I don't want the flash shoe encumbered, nor do I want the mass of the external O-GPS1 attached.

I have a K-3 for impromptu party shots. All my lenses work just fine on that camera, too.
