K3 and the wedding parade

I just ordered the K3 and my wife and I have a nephews wedding coming up. What is a good autofocus setting for getting in front of the wedding parade and capturing shot? The last wedding I did was with a K10 and it failed big time in this department. The autofocus just couldn't keep up! I was only able to get less then 6 decent shots with non of them tack sharp
Any of the continuous auto focus features appropriate for this?
I know the lens plays a roll but I need to learn the tool first
Btw it is in a church I believe

Thanks

Randy

What lens? AF accuracy also depends on that factor (Pentax vs. third party, large max aperture vs. dark etc.)
K-3 AF is a vast improvement over anything before that.
Can't help you regarding AF settings, I mostly do a manual prefocus and then shoot at the correct instant, much easier with moving targets than waiting for the AF to make up his mind IMHO...

If you have a couple of weeks, I would suggest practicing in the church or someplace with similar lighting. Be aware too, that unless you are the official photographer, shooting the procession from the front is in very bad form.
