problem using Flu-card in computer

Whenever I try to use my Flu-card in the card reader of my computers, it beeps as if looking for a wifi connection, then disconnects, thus giving no access to the images. I thought by turning off wifi function in the camera first would work, but it hasn't. Anyone had any similar problem / solution?

Does your card reader support Flu cards?

@photolady95 I didn't know the reader needed to specifically support them. I assumed it would read it as it does any other SD card.

I'm not sure either but thought to give you some food for thought. Does your reader read SDHC cards?

From what I've just read, you need a browser to see your photos. I have seen something similar on these forums. Hopefully someone with more experience will come along to help you.

Using the browser is not a problem. I can do so on my BlackBerry or my computer. It's when I want to batch copy/move that I want to use the card reader, as the transfer rate is faster.
I'll keep digging.

Yes same issue, I only use the Flu card as backup jpegs so to download the images the few times I've needed I had to leave the card in the camera and use the USB port.

The card should show up as a drive. If it doesn't, try a different card reader, or format the card after downloading your photos. Sometimes I've had to use a different card reader...not sure why the flucard is so unpredictable.
