Bob; I haven't got a "shipping" notice yet, but still hoping it goes out today. I know the 50 F1.8 was on backorder, I hope they don't hold the entire order waiting for the lens.

Tina, thank you!

Give them a call - if this is the case, a little bit of polite persuasion might see them willing to split it.

I'll wait & see; the PayPal info recently changed from "pending" to "completed" for payment. They post that payment is not taken out of customer's account until shipping; so I'm guessing with them taking the pmt, shipping will follow today.

wow, maybe not too much larger but packed with so much technology stuffs, it's a big jump from my K5 IIs so I can imagine the long flight from your K10D to K3 prepare to be surprise (in a very good way) and buy a new HDD ^^

I think you will be very pleased with the lens too.
Here's a grab test shot taken with my K-S2 when my 50mm came a few weeks ago:

I have to say, I always did and always will love my K-5. it's a unique camera with many endearing qualities. But I still remember the first day I went out with my K-3. It made an immediate impression.

Bob, it's great to get the free lens, and from your photos; looks like it will work fine!

Norm; I'm keeping one of my K10D's, as I'm like you, I'll always love it. The K10D is a great camera, but it was time to move up!

The one I like the most is ISO 80. I've thought about a K-3, but while the -5 is still going strong I'll roll on and see what the digital full-frame brings to the table. Right now I'm enjoying the stress-free bliss of a WR lens on my K-5 on cloudy days and knowing I'm pretty OK if the worst happens, while dabbling in the other sort of full-frame on the side - the type with the disposable multi-shot sensor that you mail away to get your pictures.
