I was going to wait until the holiday season to buy the K-3 but I kept looking at all the amazing pictures everyone has posted. I went ahead and took advantage of the Adorama deal. I'm super excited about trying it out. Thanks for the inspiring photos. Great community!

We are much more likely to give you a push. Rupert loves his 50-500

When I picked up my K-3, I held onto the K20D. Yes, the K20D is not as capable (duh), but it's still a good cam, and I generally have one of my lenses ready to go on it, and only some of the time would I be inclined to move that lens over to the K-3 before using it. [The K-3 is my "serious body", while the K20D is my "often entirely adequate body".] I only wish that the K20D's shutter were not so L O U D !!!

EDIT: Now that I think of it, I only recently (some time after obtaining the K-3 along with the K-3 battery grip) finally treated my K20D to its own battery grip (thanks, KEH) -- I'd say that that was showing the ol' '20' some appreciation, eh?

LOL you guys are not helping! The problem is the real cost of the lens includes a new couch or a fire place or...

Would I be dumb to do the $1000 Japan ebay special or is that pretty much garneted to be a fake?

Count me in as well, falling victim to this site showing the Adorama K3 special!

I've had mine for about a week now, and am absolutely amazed at it's capabilities! Yesterday, I went down to the lake, and ended up with 96 images!! In the past, perhaps half of these would be acceptable; with the K3, ALL of them were much more than just acceptable! I'm blown away with the K3. I used the Pentax 55-300 lens, handheld, and still all were keepers! You can see some of the images down in the "Forum Shots from Today" thread.

So, for all of us that fell "victim" to the K3, a hearty Congratulations!!

BTW, a warm Welcome to DayBob and Lens-A-Do to the forums!

LOL yeah and I'm the guy that ended it! The estimated ship date is 12/3 and he said I could back out at anytime before it ships. I haven't paid him yet and am waffling on it.

Is there any way to know if it's a fake? If it's a good fake do I care?
