K-3 II and Pocket Wizard

Will Pocket Wizard made for Canon (TT1 and TT2) work? I only need to trigger and do not require any of the fancy stuff.

I suspect it will, but I'm not sure.

well you don't need the fancy stuff then (the pocket wizard I meant). You are better of with generic wireless triggers like this one on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008MTN9MM/ref=twister_B00OUM30BA
Alternatively if you think you need more range get the Yongnuo 2.4 ghz versions. I am using both versions for about 2 years now without issues.

I'm not looking to buy, but to borrow for this Saturday. For some reason, I'm experiencing issues using universal trigger (one particular - I don't have access to whole lot) on K-3 II while I never had any problem with K-30 using the very same trigger.

The Pocket Wizard, if they will do the job, will be a plan B thing.

I have used pocket wizards on my k-3 with no issues. No idea if they were for any particular brand. It was a shared studio model shoot and we just swapped the PW's around when it was our turn to shoot. Nikon, Sony, Canon and Pentax we just slipped them on the hot shoe and fired away.

Maybe. It seems that the pin arrangement for Pentax is more compatible with Nikon than Canon. Fuji is the opposite, they are more compatible with Canon. None of the Nikon/Canon TTL pins will work of course. But just for triggering, I know that my Nikon Yongnuo 603 triggers work with my pentax's, but not with my Fuji's.

For serious paid work I only use the Pocket Wizard non-ttl units which will work with almost anything.

It's always a gamble using other brand TTL stuff, you never know what the pins are shorting out!
