Hi everyone, I am making timelapse photos using the K3II interval timer. I am using a 5 second delay between shots and shooting raw. The camera is set up on Program and on a tripod. However it seems that every frame has a bit of a different exposue and as you move through the photos on a time line there is flicker present because of exposure differences. Any help. I've had a similar issue with a K-3. Have you tried Manual mode to remove that variable from the problem?

I have not tried manual mode. Generally my timelapse exposures last from half a day to all day. kenoshapentax

Unless the light stayed perfectly/exactly the same, any auto mode will give you different exposures. That's why you lock things down for time lapse. Manual mode. Turn off auto white balance. Turn off auto focus.

Always everything in manual when doing a timelaps. If you then get flicker it can be the result of aperture.

There are some good tips here: reducing flicker for stop-motion animation and time-lapse photography | After Effects region of interest. Your best bet is reducing the flicker in the input through your setup (all-manual), but some time lapse software also has a deflicker function.

Thank you Tjompen1968 that was a great video. Discovered I will need to turn off my AWB and will be looking at if the Mirror in the K-3 to see if it is moving back and forth during my time-lapse.
