Tentatively waiting for my $400 K3

Picked up a floor model on ebay a couple hours ago for a price I couldn't pass up. I've been following these for a couple weeks and think I got lucky. I'm just hoping that the inside of the body isn't as dirty as it looks in the pictures. I'd rather not have to do a thorough cleaning when it gets here.

Here's the listing.

Pentax K 3 23 4 MP Digital SLR Camera Black Body Only 0027075274204 | eBay

Has anyone picked up one of these for cheaper? This is the first I've seen these dip into the 4's.

I recently purchased a K-3 from the market place here for $490 inclusive of shipping and PayPal fees. A little more $, but a little less anxiety.

You did confirm that this is covered by a warranty, no?

I'm pretty sure I will be warranty-less, but ebay has an easy money back policy and the vendor has excellent feedback. Seeing as this was a floor model from a vendor rather than a private party, I may still have a warranty, but that's just speculation.

I'm not expecting trouble, but I didn't look through the pictures as thoroughly (I can be an impulse buyer) as I did post-transaction.

Yeah, I think that will clean up no problem whatsoever. Looks like a great deal - if I'd been looking for a K3 and I was in the US, I'd have jumped on that too

It arrived yesterday! I haven't had a chance to take pictures of it yet, so I haven't updated the thread.

Everything works fantastically. It has a 150 shutter count, but besides that is mint. I cleaned up the dust, but didn't find anything on the sensor. I couldn't resist immediately going out shooting. Everything works well and I am enjoying the added weight, it balances out my sigma 17-50 quite well.

I'm still in the probationary period with it, but so far I think I got a great deal.

Congratulations! 150 shutter count?! Wow... you got a real bargain. Glad you cleaned up the dust... it really didn't look like anything to worry about. Enjoy your camera!!

I'm loving it so far. It is rather noisy though. Intermittently it will make a fan-like noise. Hopefully this is not a defect. I never noticed my k-30 making any audible noise.

Oh well!

Excuse the face smudges.

I'm really liking the low light performance. Not as noisy as the k-30 at high iso. (This is 6400, no edit)
