K-3 sticky shutter

I've noticed sporadically that the shutter on my k-3 seems to stick. That's the only way I can think to explain it. I will focus, press to take the picture and it stutters. Next picture will snap fine.. Any suggestions?

I am not an expert on the shutter mechanism, but have read that a sticky shutter may be related to the mirror operation (sticky mirror).

If it continues as an ongoing thing, you may want to contact Pentax Customer Service and confide in them on what to do.

The number is (800) 877-0155 (Toll-free), and they operate on a Denver daytime schedule.
