In practice transferring through PC over ethernet takes 3x much time than direct transfer through NAS USB 3.0 socket, which is a lot of a difference with 128 GB of data (
let's say 20-40 minutes vs. 1-2 hours), and needs your PC to be switched-on during that transfer time.
I use two cards with my K-3, 32 GB SDHC for *.JPGs (
QNAP NAS recognizes card, directories and files) and 128 GB SDXC for RAWs (
for QNAP NAS 'card not initialized').
My QNAP NAS also recognizes FAT32 128 GB formatted flash memory (
as 'initialized, FAT32 formatted 128 GB, label .....'), but does not see directories nor files on it.
