Originally posted by Jool I have a K-3ii and have always used Sandisk cards. I have never had one fail yet so I'm very happy with them. The last ones I've used have 95 Mb/s speed. Is that a good speed card to use for that camera or should I be using a faster one?
95 Mb/s read (90 Mb/s write) is the fastest speed that the UHS-I bus supports, and your card already exceeds the capabilities of the K-3 II. Faster SD cards are UHS-II, which require a second row of data pins. If your computer is fast enough and has a UHS-II reader, you could thus achieve faster read speeds, but certainly not faster write speeds in camera since it doesn't have a UHS-II slot.
The K-3 II writes at up to 40-50 Mb/s, though on average you'll be in the 30 Mb/s range.
