I 'accidentally' bought a K3 on ebay last night and hopefully I will have it tomorrow just in time for a three day trip to North Wales (mountains and more mountains). I have used a K5ll/ K7 for over six years so I'm used to the general workings but I was wondering if anybody has any general tips to help in the first few days of concentrated use (I shoot RAW) Thanks in anticipation.

TAv, limit ISO to 100-1600 (maybe even 3200), center point focus and have at it!

Live view - turn on focus peaking to help you get super sharp focus. digital zoom during live view is a different button on the K3 than on the K5 - I think it's the OK button - don't have it in front of me at the moment.

Several buttons have moved.

If you're using a battery grip, be careful with it, it's a slight change, but t's really easy to accidentally hit something on it that can make your camera behave in really weird ways -- I usually run into this when I'm showing someone a photo on the back of the camera, I'll accidentally hit a button on the grip and knock it out of play mode.

If you do HDR, the settings on that have changed a bit.

If you do... I forget what the official name is, but when you set up the camera to take a photo every X seconds for Y photos, that's no longer buried in menus, it's in the same place you choose between single and continuous and bracketing and so on.
