Hi Greg. Here is a link to a Pentax tutorial about wireless flash. They use Pentax flashes, but 3rd party flashes still apply if they have the required wireless setting ability. Hope this helps mate. Good luck.

Forget the wireless trigger, Greg, for your situation.

Read the Yongnuo manual as to how to make it the slave to the K-3's popup flash.

Best bet to avoid pTTL type lag issues - which are quite major on all Pentax dSLRs - is to use the manual ratio settings on the K-3 and either wire from the PC socket, or preferably, use a high quality optical slave on the remote flash. Wein HS at around $35 is probably the most dependable. Overall, this is about 98% reliable, far better than the alternatives I've tried (which is most everything). By the way, the ratio flash on the K-3 is amazing, and can get down to practically nothing at 1/128. The on-board can be further softened with the Demb Deluxe which is another key essential for on-the-fly flash at a pro level. The only real downside to the slave procedure is if others are shooting the same scene - obviously the optical slave does not differentiate.
