O/k, so I retook the image and it opens in DCU and lightroom, do I need to do anything other than the normal adjustments that I would do any picture?

If you continue to get corrupted files there may be a problem with your card.
I don't know about Lightroom, I'm not certain if it has been updated yet to best process Pixel Shift with Motion Correction. DCU has options to turn on Pixel Shift and Motion Correction - the same as the camera. I think it defaults to your camera setting. You may want to play around with those to see what effects it has on your images just for your own sake.
What some people do is process the image in DCU saving as a TIF and then to the heavy post processing on the TIF in Lightroom or Photoshop.
