So I was wondwring what the likes of all the pentax peeps with so much knowledge here thought about the K3 refurbished, aaid like brand new for a price of 499.00 through Amazon yes or no ? Body only.

Much depends on your budget and the refurbished price. The K-3 is still a great camera at 499.00. Even better is the current deal on the K-3ii with grip. Both are nice.

Make sure it is through Amazon and not a third party. A lot of the third party vendors are thieves trying to steal your money.

Don't buy it from "Watch Select". And the other guy SHR4971 offers no warranty.

On the other hand, you can get a beat up one w/18-135 for $700 with a 30 day return policy.

Actually it comes with a 90 day warranty.

Keep an eye on this seller on ebay. They are the official Pentax distributors in Australia. I just bought a brand new K-3 with the Pentax 18-135 lens for AU$1000 (approx US$750). These are left over stock they offer occasionally. They ship worldwide and it comes with a one year warranty.
