I think that the suggestion our dear friend Rupert made once would be appropriate here, with embellishment from myself.

Spray some Simple Green on it, then a thorough cleaning with a pressure washer.

Well I happen to pressurewash for a living, so I have much stronger chems then simple green..

That reminds me of the "exploded diagrams" I used to do when I studied Technical Drawing at school.
