My K3 (after recent reboot) still working great - even after my mountain bike crash yesterday. Banged up wrists, right knee, shoulder abrasion, slightly out of tune rear wheel and twisted front handlebars. I keep it stuffed in the Mindshift 180 with an extra battery, lens cap off and paired with the 18-135 when I ride...

I need to stop trying to keep up with the kids...

MY K-3 still rocks as well. I'm thinking if the K-new isn't up to scratch I'll ry and find a K-3ii.

Actually, I did buy a K-3, as a backup to my K-5. To be fair, they are both fine cameras.

I purchased a K-3 1n 2013 shortly after debut. Still as good as when I bought it (except for cosmetically). The K-3II didn't show me anything I wanted or needed. The K-P went the wrong way for me leaving out too many features I liked on the K-3. Full frame appeals to me but not enough to make the switch. If the new APSC keeps the high end features and makes a big leap in AF and has flippy screen I might be interested. K-3 has been and still is a workhorse and excellent tool. Yep, still rocks in 2020.

My K-3's first card slot has stopped working, otherwise it is still going strong.

K-3 does not need that much of a refresh, just better autofocus, buffer and a few more fps to keep pace with other cameras in the marketplace. I'm confident the K-new will provide that without changing much else.

Accelerator chip, tilting back screen, maintiainig FPS during tracking, and a bigger buffer. The rest I'm good with.

Yep. Contrary to common belief a camera doesn't magically go bad when new models are released
No need to stop using the K-3
Agreed. My K-3 is still running fine. I have found the dynamic range with which to raise shadows excellent. I under-exposed here to avoid blowing out the whites, knowing that I could bring the dark areas up a great deal. The woods were lovely, dark and deep.

They call them giant "Lac St Jean" blueberries : one blueberry makes a whole pie ... lol ! For real they are photographed close-up with a 645 Auto Bellows + 645 A 75 mm f/2.8.

Longer battery life
I must have missed something along the way. Both cameras have the same video support and identical battery specification.
