K-3 and ipad

I have a K-3 and an old ipad Air 2. I'm wondering about tethering for live view. I'd also like to be able to connect the K-3 to the ipad to review photos hopefully without having to actually import them to the tablet (if that's possible). What can and can't be done with this combo? Any apps needed? If there's a detailed article on this forum or elsewhere that would great. I just haven't found one. I'm planning to upgrade to a new ipad soon if that helps. Thanks

If you have the flu card for the K-3 it is straightforward. Otherwise a bit complicated.

Unlike today's cameras the K-3 doesn't have Wifi, Dadengler!

You would need to go down the road of add on SD cards.

Yes , Pentax FLU card PRO 16GB O-FC1 , it came with my K-3.
To use it with 645Z and K-s1 the firmware needs to be updated.

Yes, something like that. The Pentax branded one (I used it with a K-S1) worked like this:

Thanks. So a simple wired connection to the ipad is not possible?

I admit to being confused. I meant by cable. Does the Flucard transfer wirelessly or does it require a USB or HDMI cable? I really appreciate your patience with my questions.
