Mirror stick when cold

When outdoors in cold weather (35F and lower) the mirror tries to go up but often comes right back down, resulting in a black image. Warmer weather is fine. Camera is almost 10 years old now, so its seen a fair number of shutter clicks. Is there a place to lubricate and a preferred lubricant to ease this problem? I feel like whatever its got in it starts to stick as it gets cold. Running on ac power, so not a low battery issue. Note that it doesn't do it for every frame, but at 28 -30 degrees at least half.

Thanks for any hints / tips.
