If this thing really shoots RAW video, that will be nothing short of amazing. And revolutionary. 14-bit RAW plus no Aa filter should bee roughly on part with output from the blackmagic cinema camera.
Seriously, if the video is as good as this suggests it is the k-3 could be rather popular for video, especially among those looking for something weather resistant.

also the sensor @ 6016x4000 could do 4k UHD ??? ... may need to check the data rates to see of that is possible ..

I like how excited people are about this. Can you all tell with some certainty that based on these specs it will definitely be a great videographer tool? What are the specs that have not been answered that could temper the enthusiasm? So, the fact that there is a video switch rather than a mode on the dial means for sure that you will manually be able to control shutter speed, aperature, ISO, etc?

Good question. I'd still like to know some of the technical details of the non-RAW video modes (i.e., data rates, color subsampling, IS effectiveness, etc...) because as good as RAW is, it will tax all but the fastest computers.

focus peaking in video, high bitrate codec, audio monitor, would be enough to dance jig.

I think that this Camera will not propbly be the best for vidoe. BUT, it will be really good still. With headphones and all, and these new shooting modes you can really do so much for your work. Don't have to quess and hope. Now you can just do it(and hope). That RAW video sounds cool, serious and really taxing for my current computer....so, even if it might have been a typo I don't really mind. If it will be there, I shall try it ofcourse.

What about direct recording to external storage over USB3? That would be a pretty original and interesting implementation. Would be the perfect partner to a data hungry 14-bit RAW recording option too. Possible?

Nope - not mentioned in the specs; and, would only make sense if you could get past the 25 minute recording limit.

P.S Google cache still has the K-3 product page: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.us.r...hrome&ie=UTF-8

Not to be a fly in the ointment, but can it really be RAW? Wouldn't this mean that the camera can do somewhere between 24 and 60 fps in full RAW resolution?! Color me dubious...

All the serious improvements in the video department will be useless to me if there's the same old jello effect.

There is no way to not have it from a 24MP sensor to 2MP 1080p output.

The video codecs are not selectable!
H.264 is for normal video recording and MJPEG is for Interval video recording. There is no 14 bit RAW video. There is no USB3 video output during recording but there is HDMI output. Is it uncompressed? I don't know yet.
There is another big thing about interval video but you'll have to wait 2 more hours.
