I've just ordered a Pentax K-3ii from B&H, with the battery/grip, USB card and flash included.

It should arrive tomorrow. Hopefully I've made a wise choice - my buying the K-50 lemon sure was NOT a good choice.

Congratulations. I'm sure you'll love the K-3II and grip. It's a fantastic setup.

Just to add balance and re-state what has already been said, there are many satisfied owners of the K-50 who've yet to have any hint of the aperture control mechanism failing. It has happened in enough documented cases to be a known weakness, but it doesn't appear to be widely prevalent. I do think you're better off with the K-3II, but most existing K-50 owners will more than likely continue to get sterling service from their cameras

You will immediately notice that the K-3ii is a much-heartier design. Not that the K-30/50 series was poor, but the flagship models are physically built to standards that would satisfy most professionals. Even among the Pentax flagships, the K-3 series stands out for the quality of build. Enjoy... for many years.
