I m very keen on the k-3. It ticks all the boxes for me. Hoping to see some real user review before I make the jump.

Not a bad price but is there a silver body only version that is available?

I just chat with Leaderville Camerahouse (WA) and they are unsure if the silver version is available at all.

So how many of us in Australia have pre-ordered the K3? There won't be any left to go to the camera shops.

Both cameras are now listed as including an 8Gb Flucard.... awesome, now I don't need to chase one seperately.

Ordered

Order placed with CR Kennedy for Silver edition. Includes grip, leather strap and extra lithium battery.
I bypassed getting the K5ii as I was happy with my K5 and didn't think it was enough of an upgrade.
My K5 never seemed to suffer from any of the the complaints people were making ( and I had a very early model). It did develop a very touchy shutter release button, just a slight touch close to the button caused it to refocus. But CR Kennedy fixed it in about 4 days.My keeper rate focus wise was about 90% (and some of the miss focus was my fault). Maybe this was partly due to using the AF button only for focusing, I certainly think I had less miss focus using that method.
I don't do much flash photography, but when I did I didn't seem to get any major overexposure when using bounce flash with my Metz 52AF-2.
Unlike some on these forums I have been very happy with Pentax.

I didn't quite get it when I ordered my camera - great
Just as well there are two SD card holders - my 10 16gb cards arrived today. I figure I will need the extra memory doing 24meg RAW and video as well. How many hard drives can I fit into my computer? (5 in there already)

Yeah, available for pre-order with a free 8GB FLU WiFi card at $1399. Expected delivery 1st November.

CR Kennedy are doing a great job with pricing, it's great to be able to buy locally at globally competitive prices.

Just as soon as I can secure the dough I'll be pre-ordering mine
