Nope. $920 delivered from CRK. I must have got them at a weak moment. It pays to send an email for their best price.

This is torture!

Everything I've been told by CRK is 'early November', and K-3's have started shipping elsewhere, but most reports here speak of 'late' or 'end' of November for Australian deliveries.

Methinks it is time for another phone call to find out what the devil is going on.

Get them to hire an Antonov AN124 to bring a few containers worth of gear over, rather than ship them via a slow boat. Sony and Apple have done it for their gear from time to time.

I just got of the phone with CRK asking when the K-3 will be available. I''m told they are not expecting delivery till the week after next. Even more disappointing is they didn't even know what a BG-5 was or why it isn't shown on their product page...!!

(The first week of November is a notoriously bad week in Melbourne because basically the whole place goes into 'go slow' mode for the spring racing carnival. We even get a public holiday on Tuesday for the Melbourne Cup, and most union type sites will be closed on the Monday, and possibly even Wednesday -they save up RDO's. So even if the containers land in Melbourne port in the coming week, they will be delayed in shipping the 5ish K'ms from the port to the warehouse)

Indeed... the K-5iis is still an attractive option, but I'd have trouble considering it with the K-3 being so close price-wise. If the K-5iis drops a little it would be excellent buying!
