I'm here to make an exclusive offer to a US based K-3 fan who has found the K-3 features so irresistible that they have pre-ordered without clearing it with the 'boss.'

Once the cameras start to ship and you realize your grave mistake of skipping the pre-approval stage, I am here to rescue you.

I will take the new camera off your hands for only $200 below the pre-order bill amount.

I should point out that $200 is a tiny fraction of what a divorce settlement will cost, so the discount is extremely generous on my part.

This offer will be valid for one person only, so do not delay once you realize your mistake.

This selfless offer is being made with only the most noble intentions to help save a marriage for one of our members.

(Offer subject to change and may be rescinded at any time possibly due to announcement of Black Friday deals or solid rumours of an FF release.)

ok the question for those ordering the silver edition...how can you use a camera that is limited in production...do you buy and store on the shelf or do you use it and put 20k plus pictures on it like some people do in a year...

Good question since I have just pre-ordered the special edition. I shall probably use it carefully for a while, and get a black one as soon as I can afford it. Lame, eh?

Just got word from B&H: both cameras are doing really well (thanks to PF, of course), with the number of silver sales being pretty close to the number of black body sales.

The silver bodies will probably be sold out by the time they arrive, so be sure to get your pre-orders in if you want one!

I'm wondering, though, why bring out the Limited lenses in silver if Pentax are not going to continue with the silver & black finish? Perhaps a "second special edition" is on the cards at some point. OTOH, one can always get a K-50 in silver...

Be careful, I gave my wife a license and she purchased a $4,500 sewing machine. I can now give lessons in not choking.

I would have pre-ordered the Pentax O-FC1 (Wifi) as well but...no sign of that.

Last one I bought my very talented wife was #3. Helps to justify my more modest purchases...

I can't remember CRK importing the special edition silver models, so I wouldn't hold much hope for this one. You could always contact them and ask.
