Just buggin over the fact the Ricoh Canada page doesn't even have the K3 listed as a available camera!
But they do have stock coming in. I pre-ordered from London Drugs and they say ETA is Nov/1.

I'm skeptical, but that would be freakin awesome!

Update at Henry's Camera:

I've just checked at Henry's and it seems they have the K3 (black) in stock and the battery grip (short supply) available.
When I clicked for the silver ed. with the grip ... "special order" which may take 2 to 4 weeks and comes at $1599.00 ... that is almost the same as the black version.
http://www.henrys.com/81868-PENTAX-K-3-D-SLR-W-GRIP-SILVER-LIMITED-ED-.aspx

Total price is actually right when compared to our US neighbours.

Good starting prices at Camera Canada.
I hadn't made much searching but I see that there is some competition out there already, which is good for us.
And if the grip sells for $199.00 (at B&H), it makes the total more attractive.

I see that there is a K3 for $1199 there as a "bid".
Wondering if you'd still be able to just buy it at that price, or "bid" that price and hope to get it ?

Is ProDigital a Canadian outfit?

Prodigital is an arm of Carmon Photo Carman's Foto Source | Home
But they sell at a cheaper price on-line than they do at their stores. They buy in blocks of 5 usually, they tell you how much of each block is left. The price listed is the price you pay. They have stores spread from Cambridge to Toronto and I notice one now in Sarnia, so yes, they are Canadian. And the price on-line is "the price" it's a buy it now price, not a competition. They often mail it the day you order if you order early enough.

I bought mine from Henry's this afternoon for $1445 plus taxes and environmental levy. They were trying to match the Camera Canada price. They came close enough for me, the total with taxes etc was $1633.30 for the kit with the 18-135 WR lens.

CR Kennedy (Pentax Australia) had K-3 rumor info on FB and then immediately on their main site on release. And CRK are just a distributor
