"shunter releases"

Nice, but Ricoh needs a proofreader and editor. I know a good one if they are listening...

"Up to 200,000 shunter [sic] releases"? Too much water or too much whiskey?

Wet and Wild?

Hello sledger, thanks for posting the link.
I agree, the artsy water-drop shots are repetitious, but that's what Ricoh seems to want to use as a major selling factor. The new WR added to the 55-300mm zoom, WR on the flashes and now a water, snow and outdoor-heavy video.
But it does a good job of making visual points about the sensor, anti-aliasing option, focusing improvements (we hope!), burst frame rate, video capabilities, dual card slots and off-camera connections.
The voice-over was a little too hyper-speed for my taste, and I already knew most of the numbers he was chattering about. For a newcomer, it might seem overwhelming or confusing. Maybe they'll follow up with another video, in a more dreamy, photo-heavy, near silent 'follow the nature photographer' style.
It's a start!
Ron

Maybe they went a little overboard on the water but Ricoh appears to have decided that WR would be one major differentiating factor for Pentax line.

WR camera, WR flash, WR lenses.

Anyone who is new to Pentax and sees this ad would go home with the WR as the take home message. In my opinion that is a good thing. I dont think it was a major sales pitch in the past.

PENTAX: APSc optimized, WR system, build quality, ergonomics, Primes, Hyper P and TAv, class-leading features (we know the exceptions) at a fair price.

Hmmm... after watching the video, I'm wondering if the K-3 can handle getting water droplets splashed on it in slow motion. You know, like a supermodel in the shower?

I want to see a bikini model running out of the surf in slowmo with the k-3 bouncing around her chest area now.

And Hasslehoff must get involved too.

No need to run. Get a young Halle Berry lookalike walking out of the surf whilst James Bond looks on.......

And the take home lesson for Ricoh will be "it's not about the camera"!

Make that +2, why-oh why they've decided to go with some dork chasing stupid birds and making rather blurry pics in mediocre conditions if they could've gone with something more "visually-appealing"???

Cannot agree more. I know this is a repost but I think the Salaryman in RIcoh need to be reminded Marketing the Asahi Pentax way.
