Just thought I would mention the K3...

Rotates the image in playback as you change the camera orientation... so all of you who didn't upgrade K7 to K5 can breath in relief.

The Really Right Stuff, K7/K5 L Bracket fits the K5 base plate perfectly! (Though it rather makes getting to some of the new buttons & ports a little tight.)

Oh and the £100 off from SRS when you trade in a camera... is any old camera. So, if like me, you've picked up the odd Spotmatic with an eBay Takumar purchase, there's a now a place for them. Sadly they will only allow just the one per K3

Well sort of... SRS today had a couple of Pre-production models (firmware v0.3, & Pentax under the rear display) closely attended by Pentax "A Ricoh Company" representatives. Who are also yet to see the manual so we were guessing on some functionality... plus couldn't put a card in.
I was hoping they could tell me if the AA options could be included in extended bracketing. Also there are numerous continuous exposure modes which had me confused. (I was trying to see if it had the image combine option a la Nikon which can eliminate moving objects from a scene)

How'd you feel about the performance of the camera in its pre-production state? Did it feel zippy? Any laggyness?

TBH, the DA*16-50 behaved well, my DA*300 was quite slow... but then the battery was quite depleted, for some reason. Did not get to try with a decent SD card but there was no lag in image display despite every correction under the sun (or in the shade) switched on.

Still I did pre-order one.
