Well most everyone is, and by whatever means that is socially acceptable, right?

Or some other seemingly innocuous thing such as chewing gum or spitting on the sidewalk . . . . . . . .

I hope there isn't a death penalty for that...

May a gerbil vomit on your frog legs.

At the weekend I heard the latest research results - giant gerbils are now blamed for passing the bubonic plague into Europe in the 14th century. The report did refer to the popular line that black rats were believed to be the culprit.

Oh. We have all the reason in the world to hate Jean for his robbing swapping parties, but wishing the plague on him is maybe going a tad too far...

Yeah, I think a really nasty sinusitis would suffice.

I haven't sampled the plague, but my sinuses haven't been overly pleasant these last few weeks - and I'm not entirely sure it's preferable over the plague

But these days the plague doesn't travel by ship any more. The plague meets the bird flu:

The Bubonic plague nowadays is pretty pathetic - down some ciprofloxacin within 24h of symptom onset, sniff a bit of oxygen and you're good to go. Nothing like in the good old times when it used to depopulate half of the old world ...

I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this picture though - PS or once in a lifetime shot?!
