Biscuits; plain, cold, un-buttered buscuits; are a favorite of mine and my Main Coon's.

Sounds like something out of Harry Potter.

mild, but yeah. And the lack of stereo hearing isn't quite true, but I have some hearing loss in my left ear, so it's useless whenever there's background noise. Well, not useless. If I'm at a bar and i meet someone I don't like, i just make sure they're sitting on my left.

Got the same, right eye is pretty useless. There is some vision, but it's shaky, blurry and my brain's visual cortex suppresses it, so I only actively see with my left eye. I also use that one to look through the viewfinder which is annoying when using backbutton focus, because I keep smudging my glasses or stabbing myself in the right eye with my fingers

I have normal hearing, but I always struggle in bars and pubs, more so than others it appears. It's always annoying to ask someone to repeat themselves, to ask again, to ask a third time, for them to get irritated/confused because they think you're making fun of them ... So after a couple of repetitions I just resort to smiling, agreeing and hoping what the other person said wasn't a question

I do exactly the same.
Often people who don't know me well will be off to my right (deaf) side and talk to me, I don't hear a word and they think I'm ignoring them, unfriendly, or just an ass.
I also have tinnitus in both ears.

Back to food.
Here's some rotisserie chicken thighs from last night to go with the aforementioned biscuits.

I'd hate to completely lose my hearing, but I'd take that over my eyesight.
If presented with a choice like that I would have to agree.

But I would not want to lose either. We get accustomed to having all of our senses, and the thought of losing part of one, one, or any and all of them is difficult at best.

Sunny, in the high 70's here today, and I gotta go build 777 wings. Inside. Iniside the World's Largest Building.

Where it will likely be 80 or more.

And artificially illuminated.

We once had a question like this in a neuroscience exam - we were forced to have one area/structure of our brain removed but were free to pick which one

I am going to make bacon sushi when I move into the new house. First you lay out strips of bacon on a sushi pad, then mix ground sirloin with seasonings and such and spread it over it, and then put swiss cheese in that, and roll it like sushi. Bake at 350 in a raised drain pan thing for 25 minutes, glaze with barbeque sauce, bake another 10, glaze again, and then another 5. Pull it out and let it cool for a few, then cut it up

Spare some for Jean, will ya? He might need it the next time he's at a sushi birthday party.
