Don't forget sleep deprivation. I will plead guilty to posting long after I should have just gone to bed...

Or when under the influence of cheese-based substances.

Ok, now that's a new one. Filed for use when appropriate in future. Creative Commons will not apply.
Feel free - it's not mine! I was curious, so I checked Urban Dictionary and see that it was added there in 2003.

I know some divorcees who disagree. A bad marriage might end in months or years, but the hatred after a divorce can last decades. It ain't healthy to live that way but it happens.

Good point. I've suspected a pharmaceutical and/or ethanol component to some several of them, but hypoxia could certainly be a factor as well.
I plead guilty to ethanol. I am on my way to holiday party #3 today.

The camera identification is taken directly from the EXIF. Click on "Ricoh IMAGING COMPANY, LTD. Pentax K-3" (it is a link) and it should take you to a page with stats and other photos taken with the same camera. Instead it takes you to this page:

Flickr: Camera Finder: Ricoh

Look Ma! No K-3! Apparently Flickr has no mapping for the camera ID from the EXIF to the camera stats database.
I just noticed that the new Sony Alpha 7 and Alpha 7s have the same problem. Flickr does not recognize them either.

Ok, this is a picture worthy of being recommended for viewing by the whole forum, whatever that might entail.
I make a motion that this photo be on the PF home page!

Not sure. I lost track trying to follow up on the cheese and bacon. Then I found out Canadian Bacon really isn't Canadian and I've been a little depressed ever since. Good to have friends that appreciate you.
Canadian bacon – or the stuff we Canadians eat and that Americans don’t really eat – is called peameal bacon. It’s got a light brine on it, and it has that edge of cornmeal on it. It’s also not smoked, the way that regular bacon is. It’s basically as close to a cross between ham and bacon that you can get. While it does have a bit of a salty flavour, it is more sweet than other types of bacon. It’s also not going to get as crispy as American bacon. But that doesn’t mean it’s not delicious! For example, Canadian Living has this recipe for Grilled Peameal Bacon.

And you can slap it on an English muffin (which isn't really English) with a slice of processed cheese (which isn't really cheese) for great sandwich.

Canadian bacon
Well I got curious so I looked it up. I was pretty sure what we in the states call Canadian Bacon has nothing to do with Canada, and probably only a passing resemblance to bacon.

What I found was even more astonishing, "Canadian Bacon" can refer to:
  1. Back bacon, which apparently is a British cut of pork also popular in Ireland and Canada
  2. A round smoked ham sliced thin and fried
  3. A 1995 comedy film starring Alan Alda and John Candy
  4. A 6,600 foot mountain in the US state of Washington
  5. A skate board trick
I think what I ate was actually smoked ham, so as usual "she who minds the menu" was right even though she didn't even know she was right

Looking at the success of this thread… you have to wonder, to what does it owe it's success?

1. No one cares what we're talking about.
2. Up to three conversations join on at the same time, with people jumping in and out all the time.
3. Punishment for dwelling on the original topic.
4. Complete and total neglect by the OP.
5. Only one of these threads can run at a time, more and it's "power" would be diluted.
6. Enough irreverent people to make those who are trying to accomplish something feel ignored.
7. Sub-Topics that everyone knows something about. (like cheese)
8. Enough posts to stay on the front page, (bewildering people who expect substance."
9. Neither style nor substance will be tolerated.
10. No people who take themselves too seriously.

Now back to our regular programming.
