Why all the hostility towards leeches? They have their role, right? Everything has. I mean, I know some lawyers, and... umm... Ok, never mind

Even the real leeches are quite useful. They are often used to restart blood flow in sutured veins and skin grafts after reconstructive surgery due to the anticoagulant properties of their saliva.

Well, we do love our children, but they are all natural born lawyers. Just ask them to do something and then later ask them why they did not do it.

The problem is that nowadays there are just too many Sauls and too few Atticus Finch's around.

Too easy to make fun of lawyers. The bad ones are very efficient at ruining the reputation of them all.

Yep. It's the 99% that give the other 1% a bad reputation.

Most Americans do not know that one of our founding Fathers, John Adams, served as defense lawyer for the British soldiers who went on trial for the Boston Massacre. He won too. He did this in spite of death threats against him and his family. He stated that all people deserve proper legal representation. As a lawyer he was obligated to give them the best legal defense he could.
