As she had to carry you around, it may not be entirely inappropriate! I have a German friend named Uwe, but I did not know about Ute as a name. So you learn something new every day!

WARNING!!! K-3 Dangerous to other cameras!!

Yeah, I know...thousands of posts of light-hearted jest and a lot of talk about the hociR and the plans to take over the world and such, but we missed the real peril of owning a K-3.

I have just discovered that it is NOT SAFE WITH OTHER CAMERAS! I was doing an introductory photoshoot of my newly acquired Mamiya Six 120 folder and no sooner did I turn my back then the K-3 ATTACKS the poor little folder.

Pentax K-3 Attacks!

It was all I could do to pull the K-3 off the much less well-equipped older camera. Fortunately neither was damaged in the encounter*, though I have vowed to never turn my back on the K-3 from here on out when other cameras are present.

Steve

* There were a few bite marks on the Slik's legs, but that sort of thing is simply one of those things if you are a tripod.
Aha! Now I know why quick shift misbehaved and my K30 was scarred

In Norwegian "ute" simply means "out" or "outside".

It is also known to attack its owner. I had to fend one off with a screwdriver the other day. I escaped unscathed while the aggressor limped off to lick a scratch.

Never turn your back on one of these. And whatever you do don't run!!

You have to run straight away down the lens axis. Veer to either side and you are dead meat.
