Dog days of summer... only 5 weeks until college football starts, and how about those Jays? God knows, when baseball becomes interesting, there's nothing much going on.

I've never been that bored. I can't even imagine, outside of a sensory deprivation chamber, being that bored.

It is borderline self abuse. You watch 3 hours of boredom for 1.5 minutes of excitement. I usually do dishes during the games, and go out to throw tennis balls to the border collies. You have to ask, how bad is it, if you have to find other things to do while you're doing it? I can't even think of another activity that qualifies. And yes, washing dishes is far more exciting than baseball, 95% of the time.

I know at various points that bacon, lutefisk, cheese, etc. have been discussed, so I want to see if anyone would be brave enough to try surströmming wrapped in bacon, topped with lutefisk, and covered in melted cheese.

So, are you saying you wouldn't be brave enough? But you're wondering if someone else is?
And is "brave" the appopriagte word to describe such behaviour.
It's a fine distinction between "brave" and "foolhardy" in some situations.

Yep. There's a difference between "It has to be done, and someone has to do it" and "Hold muh beer, and watch this!"

Lutefisk with bacon and goat cheese is actually an ordinary way to serve this for a winter meal. Why someone would mix in Swedish tin can fish is beyond me, that's just like having fish with fish. Lots of pepper, French mustard, and honey/sirup though, that's what you need.
