Yup, I tried to formulate something on the relation between "hungry" and "angry", but my bloodsugar levels weren't up yet.

Thanks.

I have been building a platform for a lapidary saw I snagged on fleaBay today. And now, after working hard in my shop I feel very HANGRY.

Very, very HANGRY!

OK, I feel much better now. Time to go make a sammich!

I have known so many Newfs, I'm not even going to entertain this. If I have to, I'll get some of them together and make my own video. Wait, a room full of newfs, hmmmm... maybe not such a good idea, the cost of the beer would be staggering. And the endless guitar playing and singing is bound to upset the e neighbours. OK< cancel that thought.
I believe that is the most entertaining bit I have read today.

The correct pronunciation is 'aboot'.
Where you been hanging out?

Slowed down, it comes out as "a bow' ute", sort of like the way we Washingtonians say it but with intentional pronunciation of the 'u'. Fill the mouth with the word for full effect. At least that is how it is with my Canadian friends, most of which hail from west of Quebec. The Quebecois I know won't speak English in my presence and I have no idea how 'about' is said in the maritimes or Newfoundland.

Mmmmmmm. . . . . . . . . . . . that sammich was tasty!

And the oysters Mrs. Racer fixed for dinner went very well with the fresh corn on the cob from our garden.

Now I am watching the tail end of the eclipse. The moon was too low in the sky at the beginning, so we missed it.
