Yes.

A spoiler would have kept it more level, and it may have flown more straight and true.

Hey, smarty-pants ... we won this one earlier.

In French, it's referred to as the "Battle of Poitiers" ... but Wiki in English calls it the "Battle of Tours" ...

Jean, there was no mention in your link to Charlemagne's favourite knight, Roland.

That sounds just... wrong

But, of course, the Great M0d is always right. Always.

1. This thread is made up of us, the participants.
2. The Great M0d says this thread is about nothing.
3. We are nothing.

...at last to the Great M0d.

Apparently, they also split the difference in the 17th-18th centuries as 'catchup'.

I just ocurred to me that, not being from around these parts, you may not realize the "Thread about nothing" is a play on "The show about nothing".

Seinfeld broke several conventions of mainstream television. It is often described as being "a show about nothing". However, Seinfeld in 2014 stated "the pitch for the show, the real pitch, when Larry and I went to NBC in 1988, was we want to show how a comedian gets his material. The show about nothing was just a joke in an episode many years later, and Larry and I to this day are surprised that it caught on as a way that people describe the show, because to us it's the opposite of that."
