Still on the subject of nothing (also in 1974 - apparently, there was a lot of nothing going around in '74):

What alternate dimension are you reading the weather forecast for? We're in autumn storm season! Bus shelters are being blown down, and on tuesday they had to close one of the bridges!
I hate it when work interrupts my posting time...

But to jump right back in wherever the mega-thread is now:

I just did a google on "weather tromso" and got this as the first link - http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/l/Tromso+Norway+NOXX0050:1:NO

Looks pretty mild to me

Maybe *Google* is in an alternate dimension...

That is the understatement of the century.

A steak is incomplete without them.

Well, sort of, but not because I don't know of the show - I just have found other stuff to waste my time on than watching TV series. Still meaningless stuff, mind you, but usually not quite as boring.

TV is good for drawing my attention away from my own miserable existence when I'm sick, but normally in life I'm not that miserable. And if I want to be bored I can do that quite well without a TV to help me

So... How 'bout this being "The Thread of Everything"? Hmm? See what I did there?

Yeah, I'm no mushroomologist, and it isn't open enough to do an ID, but it looks enough like an Amanita species that I wouldn't mess with it. Actually, it looks enough like a mushroom that I wouldn't mess with it.

The cardinal rule is: If you didn't buy it in a grocery store or aren't 100% sure it's safe, DON'T EAT IT!
