Missed you all the past couple days. Most of the best family "comments" aren't reportable in a Family Forum - but this following takes the cake:

After the Sticky Buns breakfast, present-opening, the Ham on Dollar Rolls luncheon, son and D-i-L for Round 2 of present opening, turkey on dollar rolls snacks, LOTS of special food items and adult beverages unwrapped and/or left on the doorstep (we have red solo cups and blue solo cups to distinguish adult beverages from youth-eligible beverages) - and then 34 people at Grandma's club for the annual traditional "BIG Family Christmas Cocktails and Dinner" - after all that, at 10:00 last night, 17 degrees outside and already in my brand new Pendleton Pajamas, my older daughter asked me to go to Walgreens' and get more Wine

And Triscuits.

AND CHEESE!!

Of course I Did.

Perhaps. But 2013 is not over yet so there are several days left to start a new thread of deep inspiration.

I just hope that in my lifetime we will break the three-scuit barrier and see quadrascuits, or - dare I say it - quintasquits!

Would those also be known as Pentascuits?

I suppose they could, but they would automatically be doomed.

As bis-cuit means (literally) "baked twice", I'd venture that tris-cuit is "baked tris times".....

Yeah but it's a nuisance. Every time you kill one, seven movie stars/celebrities show up let by Greenpeace activists and you have trouble clearing a spot to gut it.
Happened just recently in Newfoundland. Pamela Anderson arrived in St. Johns and offered $1 million to the Sealing Association if they would end the hunt. For counter-balance, a CBC actor crashed her news conference and offered her $1 million to stop acting. Quid pro quo I guess.
But seal boiled in Lipton's Tomato Vegetable is great with Triscuits.

(The following is being posted in the belief that nothing is OT in this thread)

I've always understood that objection to the seal hunt was based on the cruel means used to kill the baby seals, in conjunction with the fact that this was being done for non-essential reasons i.e. fur fashion, etc. I would have assumed that killing individual seals for legitimate use would not attract any more objection than other hunting.

Does OT stand for Off Topic, or On Topic?

It was a trick question. "nothing is OT" works either way in this thread

Speaking of bacon, I came very close to duplicating Raffertys warm bacon salad dressing the other night. And of course there was cheese on the salad.
