Yes, but it's so much fun!

And, yes. I know I have no idea what I'm doing with a flash. Thus, the fun of learning.

Stuck with on-board graphics for the moment ie. ran out of money, an upgraded vid. card has to wait. The build in graphics is 4k (24fps) so good for now.
That will have to do then! As long as it renders colour well.

I spent some time looking at medium range N-vidia cards today...
Put my old low budged GT-630 in the machine. Might have to go shopping tomorrow...
edit: renders just fine, stills look great.

When I bought my laptop with Nvidea 4000M, that was quite a decent spec. Now, not so much. But, it copes with AutoDesk Architecture, so can't complain really. The thing just runs very hot.

What's up with all of yous lot? No one has had anything to say for so long.

The weather is dark, it is called night time.

The other day on the way home from work I had a near miss with a cyclist coming out in front of me. Would have been a bad day for me if they rode under the front of my car.

Currently experiencing a rainstorm over Scotland, kudos to a 'severe depression' passing just to the northwest of Scotland on Thursday night and Friday morning. Met Office has issued severe weather warnings, yellow for rain, amber for wind.

Ceiling of our dated student flat just started leaking over the stair case

And perhaps not a splendid day for them!

Here in Dundee it's alright - strong gales and torrential rain for a couple of hours in the afternoon, but now it's just 'normal windy'. In other places it's been more extreme.

Some lunatic attempted Ben Nevis today via the Observatory gully - a route that in a Facebook post the Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team who had to get that genius down described as "On the scale of difficulty this route is certain death!"

Storm Abigail is expected to leave us tomorrow, but the remnants of Hurricane Kate are to follow - it's going to be a very wet weekend, and obviously I will spent it in the mountains. Or as we say in Scotland "There's no bad weather, just bad clothes."

That is, ummmmm, unique. A moment of silence for the hapless spawn of the hociR.
