I was going to say Arnold Schwarzenegger could go back in time and prevent PentaxDude from creating the thread; however, I think he's actually tried, and Michael J. Fox was always able to put things right.

You're right...but I believe squirrels could do the job if turned loose and set free to roam at will here. Otis says...."I have the power!"

Look ........just one squirrel slowed this thread to a crawl. Think what thousands could do?

Not likely though, Otis loves this thread for the plentiful nuts!

Regards!

Everyone's over in the FF teaser thread(s), trying to analyze from two resized jpegs how many megapickels the sensor has, whether the camera mount was uncrippled, exactly how many bodies and lenses were assembled last week (even days only), how many squirrels the photographer has in their back yard...

A person could take that two ways; but I'm quite certain you only meant it one way.

I think we're all going to have to move to a "why I won't buy a k-1" thread...

I want that stinking K-S2 to drop in price. I think I'd really, really like that little toy. But I'm not paying $450 for it. I wavered too long about the Costco deal. Dastards sold out of it @ $500 for the 2 lens kit with bag & SD card.

I need to stop buying stuff.

I had a steak covered in ranchero sauce (red salsa) along with refried beans and rice today for lunch.

The existence of a K-1 would be perfectly acceptable reason not to buy a K-3, it would fit right in.

I already know why most not-buyers will not-buy the K-1: it won't be cheap. That's entirely too reasonable for a thread like this.

It's the K-S2's first Christmas. It's not at the "free body with the purchase of a lens cap" stage like the K-50 and K-S1. It should come down next summer, assuming the usual cycles still hold even with the general decline in camera sales and the (insert angelic choir singing) Release of a FF Body.

I like the way you think! All my "good glass" is APS-C. And I don't see myself shelling out the dough for the FF "good glass". So, high quality aps-c or mediocre FF? I think I'll keep the high quality aps-c & just learn how to use it better! I know I'm not even remotely limited by gear. I'm only limited by my lack of skill level.

Oh & I did scoop up the K-S1 at $179 after rebate. That's a PnS price! What?!?

I still have all my FF lenses from my film days, but they're mostly manual-focus consumer glass. I can't justify dropping a couple thousand on a body to shoot sub-$100 lenses "as they were designed". I'm delighted the K-1 is coming for those who need/want it, but the only way I see myself buying one is used.

EDIT: And before that happens, I will buy a K-3.

The vast, vast, VAST majority of photographers are limited by their skills, not their gear. Not that they will admit it.
