Old carpenter's maxim; measure twice, cut once.
It probably applies to drilling too: measure twice drill once.
Yep ...known that rule since I was 10. Add to it....."Forget it once and you will be sorry."

Fill the holes with epoxy.

Then carefully lay it all out, and give it your best.

It will all work out.
The holes won't show, they were still within the covered area and I have the new ones drilled and they are on the money. Sloppiness on my part...I will slow down today and try to avoid mistakes.....at least I didn't saw off an arm in my haste to get 'er done. Yep, it will work out...I'll make it all work out!

Otis has a big announcement to make today...not sure what it is, but I can guess? He dropped a hint when he said.....

"Tell Jim and Donna to grab their contraband and rush down to Texas, the time is right."

Hard to believe that the end of Jan is going to be swimming weather! Otis says we owe it all to his tire burning contribution to Global Warming.

Regards!

I like the "Goat Stuff"...just don't let it "Get Your Goat"

I guess the potato-photo was a reward for digging up buried treasure.

No, a kid over here said it contains shepherds. On the BBC, so the facts must be right - at least that a kid said that.
As Wednesday famously asked about cookies: "Do they contain genuine girl scouts?"

I just flew into LAX on a pair of Racer wings. BA 777 flight arriving early after noon. Think I prefer UA to BA.

Damn! That's one happy squirrel.....I'd like some of that stuff myself!

I've had a few drunk squirrels around here over the years....mostly at Squirrel Frenzy time.....and more that have overeaten and exploded...you don't want to be to close when that happens!

Hostess "No"

My father-in-law who operated a Jersey cow milk-farm used to talk about cows getting tipsy on fermented apples that had dropped to the ground in Autumn. Most annoying: they tend to lose their balance and flop on the ground, unable to get back up.

We have a massive mulberry tree in our yard. The city arborist estimates its age at 120 years (I'm doubtful) and calls it one of the oldest trees in Kirkwood. In spring when the tree drops its overripe fruit our yard is swarmed with songbirds. They actually cannot straighten up and fly right Many actually fall from limbs or (sadly) fly into the windows of our 3-season room.* The odor of fermenting fruit is palpable for days. The birds are clearly inebriated.

* Sadly, nothing seems to completely prevent that. We experimented with various stickers and changed the interior shades several times. We finally installed natural colored wicker roll shades and that seems to have reduced the collisions, but we have to remember to lower all 12 when we leave the room.
