You guys get that too?? Prediction of a snowstorm brings screaming hordes of panic stricken people stripping the shelves of stores!! There is no way someone is going to starve during a storm!! Maybe up in the great white north where the beer is stale dated, but not here!! Duh!!

Do what Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill did - get some magazine to declare the area one of the "best places to live". Then everyone will come live there. Then it won't be.

Just like Charlotte.......
Happened in Sioux Falls several years back. It was a geat place, by big city standards, until it was officially declared to be.

I'm pretty sure it's state law here - if the weatherman mentions 'snow' or 'hurricane', you must rush out and buy all the bread, milk, and toilet paper you can find.

And Coleman Lantern fuel (white gas) and generators and little bundles of firewood. Because even a gas furnace needs an electric thermostat and if the weatherman sneezes tree limbs fall on power lines all over town.
