Won't fit in my sock....

A photo does not do this one justice....It spent 3 years within a few feet of Gen George Patton almost every day. His gunsmith did the scroll-work.

I like small guns that make big holes on the way out....my little .22 auto with long rifle stingers does just that.

I think I read it here somewhere where a gun salesman was trying to sell a more powerful gun to a buyer and kept talking about "stopping power". The buyer, set on a smaller gun and caliber said.......OK.....load up this small gun and let me shoot you a few times and if it doesn't stop you I'll buy any gun you offer.

There is truth in that, but people like pissing contests with big guns.

Regards!

Are we talking weapons now? Cannot contribute, unfortunately. Unless foils and a sabre count.

Yes we are.

Sure you can.

Why shouldn't they?

Nope. Back when we'd get one of those two-inch thick catalogs of videotapes for sale. My daughter and I went through laughing at some of the available titles, and that came up as our favorite absurdity (right after "Surf Nazis Must Die")

I actually saw that on late, late night TV way back when before cable.

B movies are fun.

Here's a question for you......I have 10 boxes of .22 Stingers for my little carrying .22 auto. I bought them about 10 years ago. What is the shelf life for these, you reckon?

Keep ammunition stored in a cool, dark and dry location. Stored properly it should last a very long time, if not indefinitely. If the brass and lead show no signs of corrosion, it should be good.

But.

Once a thing is learned, a person needs to do that thing periodically to maintain proficiency. So you should rotate your stock, and visit a range now and then.

Besides, it's fun to throw lead.

And with some of my pieces spit fire.

I have this model revolver, with a 6 inch barrel, also in stainless. I've owned mine as long as the guy in the video. Like the guy says, it is a fun gun to shoot.

I also have a Mini 14, also in stainless. A ton of fun to shoot.

Looks like this one.

The idea that Mods and squirrels are "people too" may be radical, but in a democracy they deserve an opportunity to have their case heard. There is nothing political about human rights......if you are human. Otis says making human rights political would prove a person was not human. What Mod would want that?

That goes back a while. When I was the Town Marshal (seriously) of New Underwood for a while in the late 70s I carried a 2 3/4" Speed-Six, a fixed sight, round butt variant of the Security Six.
The Security Six was replaced by the GP100 in 1984-85 (ish).

No real fascination with guns here, I just see them as a tool like my circular saw, table saw, drills etc. Far less used than my working tools and too expensive to collect and have sit around gathering dust. I have no problem with gun owners...or stamp collectors. There is only one gun I might want to acquire.....and over/under Italian shotgun a friend of mine owns. It is a true work of art. I once offered him $10K and he's still laughing......

Anyone have an over/under shotgun you admire? Some beautiful shotguns here!
