That actually sounds pretty good.
That's because it is! The best potatoes are those Alaskan Gold sold at Aldis. They have a rich buttery flavor and are delicious baked or fried.

Fried okra.....my very favorite, I could eat a pound of it right now!

Regards!

Otis prefers roasted peanuts over most anything......but since the Jays started lacing his feed with Ambien he gets up too late to get many...

"Too late again?"

Yep, the Jays beat the squirrels 22 to 2 this morning.

My mother and father liked bell peppers stuffed with Spanish rice. We had them regularly. I HATE Spanish rice!
Perhaps you would like my peppers stuffed with pulled pork, Gouda cheese, zucchini, green onions, tomatoes, corn, topped with freshly grated cheese and grilled over charcoal.
Grilled limes to squeeze on top.

Mom's fried okra was the best!
Simple too, flour, salt and pepper.

(Response to Bob's query as to where everyone went)

I had to drop out for a couple days - I was on the road, and The Thread got too NSFW for work or public wifi locations.

My mom does it that way, too. She tried a recipe with grated Parmesan one time that was awesome, but Dad didn't like it - too different from what he was used to.

We've just found our way into eating okra. The stuff is so healthy if you eat a serving you can eat junk food the rest of the day.

What does that, like Velveeta, have to do with food?

Ground beef is food.

Yes, ground beef is food, but we have to look at the dish in toto. It was mixed with Velveeta.

Do you even use the stove or oven in your kitchen?
