Where are you located? That is an ugly sight for sure......unless you love that stuff? It is unseasonably warm and sunny here, better than usual for early March. Looks even better in the coming days......

The humidity is a little too high......when it starts getting hotter that will limit my enthusiasm and dampen my outside activity in the middle of the day.

For the years that our lake was almost dry we had nice low humidity...but now that the lake is full, it is like a rain forest here some days.

Hope Spring is just around the corner for you....it is a wonderful feeling to go outside with just a T-shirt!

Regards!

I hate high humidity!!!!!

Last night's supper was a grilled sirloin cap steak with bacon wrapped asparagus and a Klondike gold tater.

Me too! High humidity makes life miserable.

That's a delicious looking meal, a little rare for Mrs Rupert, but just right for me....keeps all the juices and flavor that way.

I love those Yukon Gold potatoes...a big bag is $1.89 at my Aldis and I keep well stocked. Baked or fried they are so buttery and delicious! You hardly need anything on them but a little salt and pepper.

Regards!

I'm across the ocean,
I'm across the sea,
I'm across the ocean,
'cross the ocean from thee.

See? I'm a poet!

I can assure you - going out in just a T-shirt is not a wonderful feeling here right now

Now they're promising us that the snow that just came quickly will turn into slush - which is one of the few things I hate more intensely than snow.

Long term forecast for Oslo ? yr.no

and didn't know it....

Me too!

Sounds like awesome nasty weather. When does Spring arrive in your parts?

My youngest son was assigned to NATO for 8 years in Germany and was in Oslo many times on official duty. Some of the winter photos he sent are unbelievably beautiful. It was one of his favorite places to travel.

Regards!

How is that....never thought of that? I have added some Cheez Whiz but only after I fill my bowl with the prepared chili.
In a week or so you'll find out what real cheese tastes like.

Yeah, almost rhymes with "Velveeta"!

Wait. No, it doesn't. Velveeta almost rhymes with "helvete" - the Norwegian word for Hell

On the other hand, "hell" is the Norwegian word for luck. Or the imperative form of "to pour"

Winter can be pretty to look at... but not to live in

Spring usually wins early May here in the southern parts, but the worst is behind us now. The sun rises around 7am and sets around 6pm these day - which gives us around 6 hours more daylight than at midwinter.

OTOH, mid June sunrise is at 4am and sunset at 11pm. That almost makes it worth suffering through winter.

Velveeta pours...and makes a hell of a dip!

I'd take it...it has bacon. My book says bacon can offset the lack of Velveeta.

Such great weather, I'm gonna grill this afternoon. I was going to do some ribeyes but I think I will do some burgers instead (bacon wrapped!) , haven't had a good burger in a long time. Chips, Velveeta dip, avocado, pork & beans, and fried okra!

I invited a friend to come down and join in, but he is leery of the Texas weather this time of the year...a year ago on this day it was a Texas blizzard snowstorm.....What a difference a year makes!

Regards!

Snow piled 2 flakes deep is NOT a blizzard.

It is here! You saw the empty roads and the terror in people's faces....it was like the end of the world after all the warm weather we had been having before you brought down that icy wind!
