Breaking news......I just got a package...delivered by the Fire Dept. It's in an asbestos container and I can't open it until the back up pumper truck arrives? Reckon what it might be?

Maybe Otis is right when he says "There are people out to get you Rupert...and you deserve it!"

We have volunteer firemen here and they took the box off for x-ray examination and will bring it back later this evening. They had to smother it in foam and pack it in dry ice just to transport it to the fire station. Yep, has me a little worried.

I am not a drinker, but figured this recent news might cause some on this thread to temper their consumption of single malts, not knowing whether a replacement bottle might be possible:

The world's supply of single-malt scotch is running low | OregonLive.com

Perhaps switching to Bourbon or Irish or (horrors) Canadian on weekdays?

Yeah.

I'm not from Wisconsin.

I've only been there a few times.

And as far as football is concerned I not only don't have a clue, but really don't care either.

Go figure.

Go Packers.

Hey.

That is Dallas, not the Packers.

Nice cheerleaders on that squad.

Wisconsin has nice ones too.

Only reason to watch a football game is to see the cheerleaders.

Go Packers.

Yikes!

Ok, no more time to waste here - I'm off to the booze shop!

And there goes the money I could have spent on a K-3. Or on a Kewan, which I suppose is the most popular thing to hate right now.

Oh, and even though I'm not really very good with these handball things, I'll go along with y'alls:

Go packing.

Don't you know anything? The Packers aren't a handball team, they're a basketball squad or baseball group, or something like that.
The Dallas Cowboys are a, a, uh, they're a a, well.... Okay, if anybody ever figures out what they are please let me know and I'll update this post.

But they are all some sort of handball, aren't they?

Oh, I've heard about the Dallas Cowboys! Horse riding and stuff. There was a movie about them a few years ago, wasn't there? Brokeback something?

I think you are confusing that movie with Debbie? Debbie did Dallas........I thought everyone remembered that? People in Dallas will never forget it....well, some of them!

---------- Post added 03-05-16 at 08:19 AM ----------

Update: The Volunteer Fire Dept returned my package late last night. They managed to cool down the asbestos container and say the X-Ray showed a small lump of "something" inside. They said it is now safe to open, but warned it is possible it is radioactive or could burst into flames when exposed to the atmosphere.....it appears to be hermetically sealed, but when I get up my courage, I am going to take it out on the cedar fence and let Otis send out a crew of "volunteer" squirrels to open it. There is nothing on earth they can't open.

It's Saturday, and after their usual Friday night partying and wild drinking they will be sleeping late, so it may be noon before they get to it? I'll let you know what's inside unless we all perish opening it?

Oh yeah...the photo...it ain't happenin' without a photo...right?
