Somehow, when I think of drummers, I always think of that Reefer Madness movie.....reckon there is any correlation?

Only partially.

Not all musicians use Mary J to influence their craft.

Some even swear they never use anything to alter their mental state.

I think those come by altered states naturally.

Others feel they cannot face the day without a 'tune up'.

I've never done any of that stuff but did ask Otis about it....He just grinned and said no.....I think he's one of those with a "natural altered state".

Regards!

EDIT: It was pointed out to me that I forgot to add..."Damn, isn't that Otis handsome!" .....done.

If I die tonight, that's okay for I have experienced heaven.
For supper tonight we had brisket from Cooper's Old Time Pit in Texas https://www.coopersbbq.com/ (Thanks Jim!) on sourdough rolls from Boudin Bakery (San Francisco).

It just doesn't get any better than that!

Very good to hear that you enjoyed it......but I have to disagree some......do not die until you enjoy the 1 1/2 " thick smoked pork chops. The brisket maybe from paradise, but the chops are for sure from heaven.

No brisket or chops here tonight, but I did enjoy a delicious salami on rye with Ghost Pepper cheese sandwich. Thanks for the great cheese, it is a little hot to be from heaven, but it is fabulous for "Rupert Types"!

Good friends, good food...life is good!....mostly!

Best Regards!

Yep, I'd go for that any day. If I could do anything, like magic, I'd put everyone here at those long wooded tables at Coopers together for a great time and genuine Texas BBQ....even Bert, after all, he does love pork chops!

Regards!

Why I won't buy a K3 to bacon, cheese and favorite movies. This thread has almost as many changes as a dinner-with-friends conversation.

Sounds like me....."at the end of their capacity."

I spent all day yesterday doing not much of anything....looks like today will be the same, maybe just a little more of it.

I always feel bad about not doing much on some days, but not bad enough to change it! I daydream of all the things I am going to do.....knowing full well, I'm not likely to do much of any of them.

I can relate to that.
My wife retires in a year and I warned her that things you want or need to do can get put off so easily once that work monkey is off your back.

Isn't that what this is?

Well, maybe not dinner.

And not exactly friends, this being the evil tenretnI and all, and you know the kind that frequent there!

And not much of a conversation.

But apart from that?

Not much.

Apart from every effing thread being hijacked by "the K-1 isn't a dedicated video camera, boohoo!"...

You know, if they'd implemented 16K video with a magic inbuilt stedicam and Steven Spielberg doing all your editing for free it wouldn't help one yota.

Then it would be "the K-1 isn't mirrorless, boohoo!". Or "the K-1 isn't a Sony, boohoo!"

I wonder who let them all out of their cages.
