Listens to you spill your guts about anything and everything, and then bills you $1,750/hour.

Cash.

What?

Do I look like a bank?

No checks, credit cards, or insurance.

So, tell me.

Well, the first thing one does is assign himself a pretentious title because "Moderator" is just too bourgeois.

I was sitting in the staff cafeteria with the mayor of Timmins , Ontario, who also happened to be our guidance counsellor. " I said Vic, do you guys actually do anything down there? " He grins and says "Norm, it doesn't matter, it's all pensionable time."

Yep, and he doesn't like squirrels or humor. I think it is because where he lives they are "squirrel deprived" and he is jealous...but that's just Otis' opinion. I once offered to send him a box full but he didn't think that was funny......who wouldn't think a box full of trouble making squirrels would be funny???

Here is a message for young Bert. As you go through life, remember the old adage "All that glitters is not gold."

They looked delicious...

I made a fine meal around them...

But...they were tough, chewy and any flavor was all on the outside in the thick sauce, and the insides were hollow tasting...if you could chew through to the insides.

So Bert, as you approach picking a mate one day, don't let your eyes deceive you, what's on the outside isn't necessarily on the inside.

Fortunately, I still had a little delicious Ghost Pepper hot cheese, thanks to a good friend, and I made salami on rye sandwiches with that wonderful hot cheese liberally applied.

You have to keep it in the insulated box it comes in ...even in the refrigerator. If you don't it will turn your cooler into an oven!

One more lesson Bert.......If you should get a bad one, feed her to the raccoons, I gave them the wings last night and they ate every one...even the bones...so there was not a trace left behind this morning.

Regards!

Otis is on the stump again today......I've warned him that we don't allow politics or religion here, but you know Otis. If any of you new Mods catch him, report him at once and ban him for life, he was fairly warned!

Yep, but they don't! I'm still craving wings so I'm gonna get a new batch from Pizza Hut for tonight. Crazy as it may sound, they have great wings that are tender and full flavored.

Kids are a lot like squirrels, they will eat most anything. When our oldest son was just barely a toddler his favorite treat was to get into the pantry and eat a raw onion. He passed up the sweets and went for the onions every time.

BTW- My mistake. Otis was not preaching or doing politics, he was giving a lecture on "how to win friends and influence people." I just caught the last part of it when I opened the window......"....if all else fails, you can always shoot them."

Regards!
