Surely sure isn't a nickname for Shirley; so he surely wasn't calling you Shirley. Surely Shirley, you can see that, can't you?

I missed out on joining in the airplane 'chat' since I don't fly that often. And when I do nothing remarkable happens. But there are two exceptions. Back in 2009 me and three other guy's planned a fly fishing trip with a floatplane 150 kilometers into the wilderness of Finnmark in Norway. It was a very old floatplane with ducktape on parts that I considered of vital importance to controlled ascents en descents. But I am not a expert. The pilot had to fly two times to transport us (we where down to three because one of my older friends developed a hart condition) and the luggage. When it was my turn the pilot siphoned the fuel from a fuel truck by sucking on ha hose and spitting out the exes fuel before refueling the plane. I think he was high before we went in the air. De seats were ripped and the plane was not build for tall Dutch guy's. So when the pilot pulled the stick to get up in the air the stick in front of me caught on my long legs... And the tree line was approaching. Somehow I got free. The pilot did not panic.

This is the plane.

His brother in law tried to pick us up after we used a inflatable canoe to transport us three guy's with heavy backpacks 50 kilometer down river. He did not see us and called the one guy that had stayed behind. He assured him that we should be there. Luckily he spotted the second time around us! And I once spilled a hot cup of coffee on the instrument panel of a military plane; a Hercules. Those pilots did not panic either.

Surely that can't be right. A Sony in a thread where even a K-3 isn't welcome...
