Maybe.

But the clapped out slag heap of a Peterbilt in the photos had a Cat engine, with a Super 10 transmission. It rolled out very well.

Power to spare under that Big Hood.

It was a blast to drive.

I drove this truck for a week while Montsro was in the Big Truck Hospital. It was one of the spare loaner rigs, older tractors that didn't have high enough miles to be sent to auction. They are used to keep drivers and freight moving when the newer trucks are down for extended repairs.
Cat engine? Does it purr?

Sorry, but I cannot abuse my authority.

No matter how much I may want to.
But....but...then what is the point with authority?!

As someone famously said: What's the point of having power of you aren't going to abuse it?

Jim, you don't want Otis to strip you or your parental rights...do you? Watch your language!

Reminds me...a few years ago the Butcher Man grew a large pepper plant in his shop. It looked like a small tree and was gorgeous. In the summer he sat it outside for some sun and fresh air. Forget to bring it in one night and the damn squirrels destroyed it.
Let's get something straight here!
I have never done, and will never do ANYTHING that would be even remotely inappropriate in the view of the ASPCPP*, and I resent the implication!

As long as I get a couple of the offspring, I'll be happy. I don't get it with Otis and baby peppers anyhow...I've heard him say he would roast a baby raccoon alive if he got a chance.

Well done, the plants I buy or grow seem to lack a will to live.

My old apartment sharer and I years ago even managed to kill a philodendron. That species would normally be able to thrive on a moon of Pluto.

I shot these today and my first thought was......I wonder if mama bird found some bacon bits?

"Hear me! I said bacon!"

"OK! OK! Open wide!"

Yes, a Cat engine always purrs.

And they snarl when working hard.

When decelerating with the Jakes on full it makes a real mean sound too!

(not a Cat, but they sound very similar)

Humans would starve to death if they fed each other like that.

The sounds that engines make have always been music to me.

Big truck engines.

Racing engines.

Radial engines.

I confess.

Me too! I had a '67 BSA Lightning with a pair of custom twin pipes that had the most glorious sound. I had some Harley friends back in the day that would cut their engines just to hear my Beezer engine brake...it was a lovely melody.

All kinds of sounds.....they are wonderful to the ear! My little TT has a soft rumble at highway speed.......hardly noticeable but so sweet and soft, it makes you turn off your radio. Going to Oregon soon....I'll get to hear a lot of it....if Mrs Rupert isn't instructing me how to drive. Maybe she will fly out there......on her.........

Regards!

Was considering it, but have to be careful. Universities are quite international, and you never know who's deciding on admissions. Imagine you send a carton of that stuff and it's opened by an Italian?
